Welcome to CK Bakes! We are a small-batch, independent bakery right here in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. We don't think cookies should look like they came off an assembly line, and we definitely don't think you should compromise on quality ingredients.
From perfectly chewy brown butter chocolate chip cookies to seasonal fruit bars and decadent brownies, everything that leaves our kitchen is made entirely from scratch, mixed by hand, and baked with love.
We think life’s biggest moments—and its quiet afternoons—are simply better when accompanied by a truly spectacular piece of cake (or three really great cookies).

Hi, I’m Chelsea!
My passion for baking started early, leading me to make a bold move right after college: enrolling in the Professional Pastry Arts program at the legendary French Culinary Institute in New York City. There, I learned the fundamentals of French pastry and grew my love of baking.
After graduating, I spent a brief period working in professional NYC bakeries and catering companies. But as life sometimes goes, a detour called, and I jumped into the corporate world.
For the next 16 years, my life was all about strategy, fast deadlines, and corporate milestones. Yet, no matter how busy things got, my kitchen remained my happy place. I was always the one bringing custom treats to parties, making new recipes on weekends, and baking for friends and family in my spare time.
Now, I am finally living that dream.
I get to take all that rigorous French technique and funnel it into the comforting, small-batch bakes our neighborhood loves. CK Bakes is the culmination of a lifelong passion, and I can't wait to bake something beautiful for you!
